Nintendo claims to listen to its fans and what people are saying about what they make so I hope they listen to this cause I know I am not the only one saying it. These are a few simple things Nintendo has to do to win back many of the hardcore gamers that moved on to other consoles.
Truth be told, We don’t hate motion controls 100% of the time. Games like Just dance, Wii Sports and Fitness games would be silly to use with a standard controller. Games like Zelda, Donkey Kong and Mario has interesting motion controls but we want the option to use a regular controller. Give people the choice. Everyone is different so give us different control options. Never foruce gamers to swing a controller if they don’t want to. We don’t need every video game to be Wii Fit.
Pretty self explanatory. Call of Duty is making billions and its not for the single player modes. Take the hint.
Everyone knows that the North America club Nintendo rewards and not all that hot. Theres some good stuff but some lame stuff like folders, notebooks and shoe laces? Wheres the GOOD stuff? You know, Like the stuff in the Japan club Nintendo site or even at the Nintendo world store in New York. Gamers love rewards and we will be more willing to buy a game that might not be good if it helps us get closer to a exclusive reward. We want things like more DLC games, Action Figures, plushies, collectables….Hell, Even more posters will keep us happy.
We live in a world where any modern phone can run a SNES emulator and Mobile games cost $1-$3. Nintendo knows this but for some reason they think their games are so good that people will ignore 99 cent games and spend $40 instead. We LOVE new games that are top quality and packed with features but we also love those small games that keep us busy while we wait for the bus….or use the bathroom. The fact is that Nintendo has every right to sell these classic games on any platform they want. It would be nice if they bought classic games to mobile phones but right now the focus should bring these games to the 3DS. I will talk more about this in a video coming up this week.
Without a doubt, Nintendo was a gaming god in the NES and SNES days. As a kid I actually thought Nintendo meant video games. Its obvious that Nintendo can’t live off its past success forever but those classic games have a special place in our hearts and that is why we fans strongly support first party Nintendo games. We want a little bit of the old with the new and a great example of this is the new Donkey Kong game for the Wii and Super Mario 3D Land for the 3DS. Those games stayed true to the core of what we fell in love with years ago but also added new features to keep it fresh.
Thats about it. I always remind myself that Nintendo is a business so anything they do is for their business so whenever us fans demand something we have to be fair about it. Overall I think what I said can happen. Especially the part about Virtual console games coming to more platforms. For more Nintendo stuff be sure to follow @NintendoNelly
