Ok, so my work did a fund-raiser (kinda like crops for cancer) but more self-motivated. A good friend of mine has been growing out his hair for a year and a half to donate as a wig for someone going through chemo, a group of us decided we’d join in for pledges and in total we raised over $2,600. That was all very good, but more importantly it was the perfect opportunity to make the image below
All that aside, the season finale of LEGEND OF KORRA aired last weekend and the final episode reminded me of God-Mode in games and how it ultimately breaks the game for future plays. See video, breath, enjoy. (Also, I filmed video before the head-shaving if there’s any confusion)

Gotta disagree with the notion that there’s no story to be told with a fully realized avatar. On paper it sounds that way but Superman immediately comes to mind. He is the “god mode” of super heroes, yet some writers have found ways to still put him in challenging and interesting scenarios. We have yet to see an actual adventure of a fully realized avatar. I truly believe a season could have been made with Aang forming Republic City as well as the whole situation with Yakon. Bending is evolving which can force Korra or any avatar to have to adopt new strategies due to the fact that enemies are getting stronger and different. Many expected a 4th season of the original series where Aang dealt with Koh and the spirit world where bending is impossible.
Oh, I have full faith in DiMartino’s ability to make great stories of the Avatar legacy and I’d love to see more Korra if only just to see more of Aang’s family (we only got to see maybe 2 seconds of Aang’s son Boomy!) I mean, whenever they show the broad spectrum of Avatars I always pause it and consider what era, area, or challenges each of these different Avatars may have gone through. Regarding God-mode, the greatest example in Korra was the flash back to Aang and the bloodbending trial, I loved seeing more of Aang but during that whole fight i was like, “Uh, Avatar state? How is he beating you?” which almost describes every Superman episode and after a few seconds of self-imposed torture (Does Aang like to challenge himself to see how far he can go without using it?) he eventually uses ‘the State’ then took the bad guy’s bending away so the tension wasn’t really there for me. Koh and the spirit world is something I hadn’t thought of in a while, the spirit world was always a bit of a grind for me because of what was going on in the real world at the time.
Going back to Superman though, I loved watching him as a kid but I feel like the following summarizes Superman fairly well:
