For this week I wanted to pick a game that was unique and did not feature the same gameplay that we are used to. I found this game called “The Act” and its not really a game, Its more of a interactive story. You play as Edgar, a humble window washer who is on a quest to save his job, rescue his brother, and woo the woman of his dreams! You do this buy simply sliding your finger left or right depending on the situation. For example. On the first segment he is day dreaming about hooking up with this girl at a bar. Your goal is to impress her and get her to dance with you. Slide your finger slowly to the right to be aggressive and slide it to the left to tone it down. Flirting too much will creep her out so you need to pay attention to the character’s faces to understand how much you need to slide. Gameplay is simple but is driven by the funny animated characters so you feel motivated to keep playing to see how the story ends. Obviously the classic animated art style was what drew me to this game.
