When I go to an gaming event the idea is to meet people of fellow interests, Maybe make some new friends. However, I notice that most of the time gamers just stay in their little circle. Playing a game. Could be at a tournament, meetup, launch party, press event or anything where gamers are together in 1 room. In my experience I got to meet people from social networking sites that talk a lot online but can’t hold a conversation in person. I will admit that I find it amusing some people have more confidence in person online rather than in person but this is a problem. We all should have enough confidence to hold a decent conversation in person regardless of what you do online or how much you play. Sadly I don’t think there is any advice I could give to those people who are anti social besides to get out more often. The more people you meet and talk to, The more easy it should be.
